Hair loss treatments like Propecia or Rogaine only slow or manage hair loss; they don’t stop relapses, and both carry side effects (Propecia for men, unwanted facial hair from Rogaine in women). A hair replacement system gives immediate, predictable coverage without those risks.
No. The more hair you still have, the less noticeable the transition to a hair system will be. More hair can always be added later if loss progresses, so starting early keeps the look balanced throughout.
If you’re asking the question, you’re ready. The longer you wait and the more hair you lose, the harder the decision becomes. Most people find that acting sooner makes the adjustment easier.
No more than wearing contact lenses or getting your teeth capped. Improving your appearance through modern, everyday methods is normal and can genuinely boost self-esteem and well-being.
It doesn’t suit everyone’s head shape. Most Asians, for example, don’t have the egg-shaped skull that makes the shaved look flattering, so a hair system is often the better route to a natural appearance.
In a word, fantastic! Not only will you have more hair, but you’ll have hair you can style and hair that will enhance your own natural features. You will look and feel years younger, be full of confidence in personal and professional situations or when just relaxing around the house.
Most people won’t say anything about hair at all. They’ll comment on how good you look, usually putting it down to weight loss or looking younger, rather than guessing a hair system is involved.
No more care than you’d give your own natural hair. You can shampoo, condition, swim, and play sports freely once it’s fitted.
No. iAremyhair uses a completely painless method that blends the system with your own existing hair, with no surgery, needles, or downtime involved.
No. Modern systems use 100% natural hair, so the result is undetectable. You’ve likely already walked past people wearing hair replacement systems without noticing.
Absolutely not. We realise that in order for you to be completely satisfied with your hair replacement decision, the choice must be yours, and must not be a result of sales-pressure tactics.
We are simply here to guide you through the decision making process, not to pressure you into making a decision you might regret later on.
Yes. Advances in the hair replacement industry mean systems now look more natural than ever. The exact result depends on the person, which is why a consultation is used to match density, texture, and hairline to your face.
Yes. Separate appointments are available for men and women, and services extend to children, covering hair loss causes beyond male pattern baldness.
Confidentiality and discretion are two promises that we keep at iAremyhair. Many men and women have real difficulty in dealing with hair loss. That is not at all uncommon.
When a person first starts to notice significant hair loss, it can be a genuinely unsettling experience. Denial usually follows the initial shock. After early denial, many people move into a period of stoic resignation. These are the usual resultant stages of hair loss.
One thing persists: the painful disappointment that hair loss causes, which is a very personal experience. Each individual has his or her own way of reacting, and we respect everyone’s privacy in this matter.
Allow us to reassure you that when you come to see us at iAremyhair, your consultation will be kept confidential.
As each person’s hair loss problems are distinctly different from others, our prices also vary with each individual. Our pricing is true and transparent with absolutely no hidden charges. We also offer you a choice of a monthly, instalment and full payment scheme.

Virgin hair, meaning hair that’s never been chemically processed, is the finest quality available. Remy hair, with intact, naturally aligned cuticles, is the second-best option and is considered the finest quality specifically for replacement systems.
You can wear it continuously up to 7 weeks, depending on various factors, but we recommend periodic visits to the studio for proper care and maintenance.
Yes. Remy hair is 100% human hair, collected from donors in a way that keeps the roots undamaged, with every strand checked for uniform cuticle direction and growth.
Virgin hair has never been chemically processed, while Remy hair has intact cuticles that are naturally aligned in the same direction. Both are high quality, but virgin hair typically costs more due to its untouched, single-donor origin.
There’s no need to shave your head if you’re getting a hair replacement system, which in itself is versatile since you can wear it to any activity and simply forget about it. Hair replacement systems are a painless and instantaneous non-surgical procedures that lets you have a full head of hair attached using adhesives or tapes.
At iAremyhair, the Standard Price is $988 while procedures for Bigger, Denser, Longer (+6 inches) Hair is $1200-$1500. For ladies who have Really Long Hair (+18 to 20 inches), it could cost up to $1800. The great thing is, we don’t have hidden charges unlike many providers and we’re totally transparent about our pricing.
Yes. A properly bonded or taped hair system is built to handle showering, exercise, and swimming without coming loose. Use lukewarm rather than hot water when washing, and rinse thoroughly with clean water after swimming or a heavy workout, since chlorine, salt, and sweat can shorten how long the bond lasts. With normal care, you can shower daily, train regularly, and swim without needing to remove the system first.
A wig rests on top of the head and can be taken off whenever you like, while a hair system is bonded or taped directly to the scalp for continuous wear, day and night, including through showers, workouts, and swimming. Because a hair system stays attached between salon visits rather than being removed daily, it suits people who want a hands-free, all-day solution, whereas a wig suits those who prefer to change styles or remove it at the end of the day.
The right choice depends on budget, health, and how quickly you want results. A hair system gives an immediate, non-surgical result on the same day, with no downtime, but needs ongoing maintenance and periodic replacement. A hair transplant is a one-time surgical procedure using your own hair, with a higher upfront cost and a six to twelve month wait to see full results but little ongoing upkeep once healed. People with limited donor hair, or who want a same-day change without surgery, tend to lean toward a hair system. People who want a permanent, low-maintenance result and are comfortable with surgery tend to lean toward a transplant.
This depends on your designs. An extremely thin design lasts a month, while on average, our standard designs last from 3-12 months.
Don’t bother with other providers who promise products that last for 3 to 5 years or more—it’s just not true. These supposedly longer-lasting products either need to be sent in for repairs again and again or are so bulky you wouldn’t want to wear them at all.
Yes. A two-month warranty is included on materials and labour.
Yes, there are a few downsides such as possible skin irritation, which can be avoided with careful maintenance and personal hygiene. Some people might also have an allergic reaction to the tapes and other adhesives used in attaching the hair replacement piece, but this can be worked around by choosing an alternative attachment method.
Some people might also have mixed feelings about having to shave before getting a hair replacement, thinking that their own, natural hair might never grow back. Not to worry—it will grow back.
Yes. The grey colouring is matched to your natural hair, with the adjustment handled quickly through your local service centre.
Modern systems use finer materials and real hair, unlike the bulky, obviously fake toupees of the past. Today’s systems are semi-permanently bonded to the scalp, undetectable, and can be worn around the clock, including sleeping, showering, and playing sports.
Yes. You can wear it back, part it down the middle, or part it to the side. Once fitted, it behaves just like your own living, growing hair.
Use a mild shampoo and a cream conditioner free of lanolin, polymers, and heavy oils, plus a leave-on spray conditioner and weekly deep conditioning treatment. Avoid alcohol-based styling products, and book professional maintenance monthly at your service centre.
If you want to swim or plan on being in a windy environment, we recommend bonding or the semi-permanent method. You can wear your hairpiece while sleeping, during showers, and while swimming or enjoying your favourite sports. This method requires you to have the hairpiece removed and reattached every 2 or 4 weeks.
If you’re just starting to lose your hair and want a natural looking front hairline, this is the way to go.
The French Lace Front features a single hair front knotting with a naturally staggered front hairline. Size may be easily altered.
The lace front itself is a very thin material that is located at the front of the unit from temple to temple and back about 2-3cm or so. The lace front is attached with a special lace tape because the tape offers a tighter hold which doesn’t show through the lace.
Introduced in the past year, the lace front has been described as a breakthrough technology in hairpieces and 50% of our clients order them. It is, however, extremely fragile and needs replacing every 6 months.
You must treat it very gently. You’d also probably need to replace the lace front two or three times before the rest of the piece wears out.
This is a thin clear skin-like polyurethane material designed to form semi-circles along the hairline for a more realistic appearance. This type of front is attached using a tape adhesive. You’d probably need to replace the scallop front two or three times before the rest of the piece wears out.
